Join Us July 7at SEED: Creative Approach to Combat Bullying

According to the Centers for Disease Control and the Department of Education, between 1 and 4 and 1 and 3 kids say they’ve been bullied at school. Only 20 to 30 percent of these kids report it to adults, and while 49 states have ant-bullying legislation, bullying is still not considered illegal in this country. But, one family driven by personal experience and their love for martial arts is on a mission to help children combat bullying.

Meet James and Michelle DeGrechie and their son Christopher Watkins, owners of the one-year-old Richardson Undaunted ATA Martial Arts. Not only have they made their dream of running a martial arts studio come true, they have also taken a creative approach to planting seeds of inspiration and courage through their book “Bullyproof.” Co-authored by a group of martial arts leaders, this book shares different strategies and tactics on facing the bullying problem that affects kids and teens all around the world.
